RFI - Yellow shirt leader has prison sentence reduced

The court of appeals in Thailand has reduced a prison sentence given last year's yellow shirt protests. Sondhi Limthongkul's sentence was reduced to six months and he was granted bail.

A US flagged ship escaped an attack by pirates late on Tuesday after an assault with automatic weapons and rocket fire. Two other boats were captured on Tuesday including a Greek operated merchant vessel and a Lebanese owned freighter.
